Poker itineraries, event letters and petitioner agreements

A tournament calendar is not the whole itinerary. A support letter is not the whole contract. Strong petitioner files make each document do its own job and reconcile the details before counsel files.

The four-document alignment test

DocumentJobFailure to avoid
Event confirmationVerifies the competition, seat, date, venue and context. Calling the organizer a petitioner when it declined that role.
ItineraryMaps planned services or activities across the requested period. Dates, locations or entities that conflict with the source records.
Deal memo or engagement termsStates what the player will do and on what terms. Using vague future plans as if they were present engagements.
Agent agreementDefines the petitioner's role and represented parties. Selecting a template that does not match the filing posture.

If the final tournament dates are pending

Start with the organizer's published or supplied calendar, identify which dates are confirmed, and give counsel the source. The legal team can decide how to describe a series of events and what period the evidence can support. The petitioner packet should not manufacture finality.

What to request from an organizer or venue

  • A dated statement on official letterhead or from a verifiable business email.
  • The event name, relevant category, location and current date window.
  • The player's qualification, seat or invitation status.
  • The sender's title, authority and verification contact.

What Aventus needs from counsel

  1. The proposed classification and agent filing posture.
  2. The requested validity period and complete planned-activity list.
  3. The agreements or deal terms counsel expects to submit.
  4. Any event facts that remain provisional or disputed.

The USCIS Form I-129 instructions are the starting public source for general O and P contract and itinerary requirements. Counsel applies the governing authorities to the individual case.

Common questions

Can a public tournament schedule replace an itinerary?

It can be source evidence, but the petition itinerary must match the filing's events, dates, locations and parties as counsel determines.

Does every poker event need a signed organizer letter?

Not necessarily. The evidence mix is case-specific. Each factual assertion should have a reliable source appropriate to the point being proved.

Who drafts the legal petition?

The player's immigration attorney. Aventus coordinates the petitioner-side record and does not provide legal advice.

Two different services: Sherrod Sports Visas provides legal consultation and petition strategy. Aventus provides the U.S. agent petitioner service after counsel selects and structures the filing.
